Recognizing learner types

We know that each student is different and as teachers we should be able to recognize our students individual personalities.  Knowing how our students learn will also help us devise lessons that would be most suitable to them and thus maximizing their learning capacity. But how exactly do you spot them?
THE VISUAL LEARNER

Uses his imagination a lot
Pays close attention to images and figures
Takes down lots of notes
Uses highlighter and color coding
Is more organized with his books and notebooks

THE AUDITORY LEARNER

Are often eloquent speakers
Listens in class
Talks while taking down notes
Tends to have poor handwriting
Tends to read information aloud
Easily distracted by noise

THE TACTILE LEARNER

Is attracted to games and experiments
Learns by mititation and practice
Remembers what is done, not what is said
Tends to dislike reading
Does well in Practical Arts/Arts/Science subjects
